App design and development

We design and develop apps for Android and iOS, from user experience specification to store launch: apps for businesses, field crews and customers, in clean code by human developers.

An app built around your business

A good app does not copy the website onto a small screen. It does one thing well, at the moment the user needs it: the employee in the field clocking in, the customer ordering in two taps, the manager checking a figure from the pocket. We design and develop it from scratch, from specification to the stores.

Our design and development team works together: a unique UX/UI design for every screen, clean-code development by developers and not by AI, and a server and admin interface that connect to your business. You get one complete app, not parts from different suppliers.

The kinds of apps we develop

Every app starts from the question of who uses it, where, and whether there is an internet connection:

  • Apps for field crews: a daily work schedule, real-time status updates and a digital customer signature, as in the Fredi driver app.
  • Attendance and location apps: clocking in from the phone with GPS verification, hours reports and alerts, as in Just In.
  • Customer apps: orders, a personal area, payments and push notifications that bring customers back.
  • Apps for running a business: a calendar, customer cards and communication with customers from the smartphone, as in BarkBoard.
  • Commerce apps: a catalogue, a cart and payments, connected to your store or inventory system.
  • And more: internal organisation apps, training and learning apps and apps that extend an existing system.

How to choose the technology?

We do not impose a technology. The choice is made together with you, according to the size of the project, the budget and the business goals.

Native app

Written separately for each system (Kotlin for Android and Swift for iOS). It suits high performance, deep hardware access or an experience that feels part of the device.

Cross-platform app

One code base that runs on Android and iOS (for example Flutter or React Native). It saves time and budget and lets you update both systems together.

From idea to the stores, in orderly stages

Every stage is documented and approved by you before the next one begins, including a clickable prototype before development.

01

Specification

We define users, screens, actions and platforms, and choose the right technology together.

02

UX/UI design

Flows, a design for every screen and an interactive prototype that lets you experience the app before any code is written.

03

Development

Writing the app, the server and the admin interface in clean code by developers, and connecting to your systems through an API.

04

QA and security testing

Testing on real devices and versions, performance and security testing, and an offline-mode check as well.

05

Store launch

Preparing the assets and publishing to Google Play and the App Store, and guidance through store approval.

06

Maintenance and updates

Adapting to new Android and iOS versions, fixes, monitoring and adding capabilities as needed.

Apps we developed

Real apps for real clients, in screenshots from the device. Open any of them for the full story: the challenge, the screens and the decisions behind them.

App for an online store

Bakes: the store in the customer's pocket

An app wired into the existing store: the same basket, prices and loyalty club. Payment stays on the secure website and notifications respect the Sabbath.

Field app for crews

Fredi Furniture Industries: a driver and measurer app

A mobile app that shows each driver and measurer only their own daily schedule, updates stop status in real time and collects a digital signature from the customer.

App for clinic clients

Ela Alzami: the clinic in the clients' pocket

Four-step booking, upcoming appointments and a client card, on Android and iPhone. Installed in one tap from the home screen, with no app store and with privacy built in.

Just In: a smart time clock on the phone

Employees clock in and out from the phone with location verification, on iPhone and Android, with no app store: a link by SMS and the app is installed in one tap.

What is Android and iOS app development and what does a project include?

An app is software installed on a phone or opened from it, using device capabilities such as location, camera, push notifications and working without an internet connection. A complete app project includes more than the screens you see: specification, UX/UI design, the app, a server that manages the data, an admin interface for the team and testing on real devices.

We design and develop everything in-house, so the design, the app and the server are built together. The code is written by developers and not by AI, and the app connects to the systems you already run through API integrations. At the end of the process we publish it to Google Play and the App Store, and support you with maintenance and updates.

  • Specification: users, screens, actions and platforms
  • UX/UI design and an interactive prototype before any code is written
  • Development of the app, the server and the admin interface in clean code
  • QA and security testing on real devices and versions
  • Publishing to Google Play and the App Store, and ongoing maintenance

Native or cross-platform: how to choose?

A native app is written separately for each system (Kotlin for Android and Swift for iOS) and suits cases that need high performance or deep hardware access. A cross-platform app uses one code base for Android and iOS, for example with Flutter or React Native, and saves time and budget, because every fix and new capability reaches both systems together.

There is no single right answer for everyone. We present the options, explain the effect on cost, performance and maintenance, and the choice is made together with you according to the size of the project and the business goals. For a large project we may start with a focused version and expand according to actual use. The logic of choosing between an off-the-shelf product and tailored development is explained in when to move from an off-the-shelf product to a custom system.

Which apps have we already developed?

For Bakes we built an Android app wired into the existing online store, so the same basket, prices and loyalty club are available on the phone too, while payment stays on the secure website. In Just In we developed a GPS-based time clock that employees install from an SMS link, on iPhone and Android, and its logic is covered in the article on a GPS attendance system. For Fredi Furniture Industries we developed a field app for drivers and measurers that shows only the daily schedule, updates status in real time and collects a digital signature. And BarkBoard is a dog boarding management system accompanied by a dedicated app, so trainers and boarding owners send updates and photos from the field.

These projects appear in the apps area of the portfolio, alongside the other information systems we developed.

App development in Haifa and across Israel

We are a software development company based in Haifa that works with businesses across Israel and abroad, through meetings, video calls and ongoing remote work. Anyone looking for development in Haifa can meet us, and clients from Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, the north and the south get the same process. The first specification call carries no obligation, and the quote is itemised by component. You can start from the cost calculator or contact us directly.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to develop an app?
The price depends on the number of screens, the platforms (Android, iOS or both), the server and admin interface, integrations and the chosen technology. After a specification call we give an itemised quote with no surprises later. For a first estimate you can use the cost calculator.
How long does it take to develop an app?
A focused app with a small number of screens usually takes about two to three months to a first version, and an app with a server, payments and integrations takes longer. The time also depends on how quickly content and approvals arrive, and on the review time of Google Play and the App Store.
Do you develop for both Android and iOS?
Yes. We can develop a separate native app for each system, or a cross-platform app with one code base for both. The choice is made according to the size of the project and the budget.
What is the difference between a native and a cross-platform app?
Native is written separately for each system and gives the best performance and hardware access. Cross-platform shares one code base between Android and iOS and saves time and budget, so it is often the choice for a focused project.
Who designs the app?
The design is done in-house, together with the development. We prepare user flows, a UX/UI design for every screen and an interactive prototype you can click through and approve before any code is written. If you have existing branding, the design is built to match it.
Do you publish the app to Google Play and the App Store?
Yes. We prepare the assets and descriptions, publish the app and guide the stores' approval process. The developer accounts are opened in your business's name, so the app belongs to you.
Can the app be connected to an existing website or system?
Yes. We connect apps to CRM and ERP systems, payments, accounting and the website through an API, so the data is identical everywhere. See also our custom development service and systems development.
Is the code written by developers or by AI?
All development is done by human developers who write the code, test it and are accountable for it. The result is a stable and secure app that can be maintained and extended.
What happens after the app is live in the stores?
An app needs maintenance: adapting to new Android and iOS versions, fixes, monitoring and adding capabilities according to use. We offer maintenance and continued development as needed.
Do you only work in Haifa?
No. We are a software development company from Haifa and work with clients across Israel and abroad. Specification, support and updates are handled through meetings, video calls and remote work.

Have an idea for an app?
