01. BackgroundThe Business Challenge

Derech HaMitbach offers premium culinary experiences. The core challenge revolved around camp registrations. Registering for a children's camp requires collecting intricate data structures: parent contacts, dynamically added slots for multiple kids (ages, medical restrictions), legally binding health declarations, and flawless capacity thresholds.

Furthermore, the client aimed to maximize Average Order Value (AOV) by seamlessly presenting smart cross-sells (such as transportation or extended after-school care) based on user selections without inducing cognitive overload.

02. ApproachThe Logicode Solution

The Logicode engineering team designed and built a full-scale custom web application managing the entire customer lifecycle—from catalog rendering to interactive registration pipelines and an enterprise-grade backend administration framework.

This bespoke software architecture bypassed the structural limits of generic platforms, enabling us to inject complex relational rules straight into the platform's transactional engine.

Platform Architecture

Smart Upsell & Logic Engine

A highly dynamic add-ons framework empowering admins to set strict logical rules. The UI instantly reacts and recalculates baskets based on user dependencies.

Dynamic Multi-Participant Forms

A frictionless frontend pipeline injecting tailored form cards on-the-fly via JavaScript based on participant count. Each child receives separate tracking parameters.

Digital Signature & Compliance

Seamless Canvas API integration capturing real-time signatures. The platform structurally audits critical telemetry: signature arrays (Base64), IP logging, server timestamps, and browser configurations.

Automated Capacity Safeguard

Continuous automated monitoring of open slots per cycle. The system dynamically locks checkouts and displays real-time 'Sold Out' badges to strictly neutralize overbooking vectors.

Proprietary Admin CMS

A secure dashboard giving admins absolute operational command over schedules, time-constrained promotional rates, data exports, and legal document bundles.

Transitioning into a holistic digital framework fully replaced legacy PDF processing and tedious phone-based arithmetic, providing a high-end customer journey while exponentially boosting gross revenue margins via automated upsell triggers.
The Impact

How do you build a management system for a culinary business with complex registration?

Registering for a camp is not an ordinary online purchase. It needs parent details, a variable number of children with ages, allergies and sensitivities, signed health declarations and precise management of places. A management system for a culinary business like this is therefore built around the registration flow itself: a form that adds fields according to the number of children chosen, a separate record for each child, and an automatic "Sold Out" indicator that prevents overbooking. A fixed off-the-shelf template makes this kind of logic hard, so we chose to build from scratch. That idea is central to all the advanced systems development we do: understand the business process first, then choose the technology.

Raising the average basket also takes careful design. A good upsell engine offers complementary services, such as after-school care, transport or follow-up workshops, based on the customer’s choices, and recalculates the basket in real time without overloading the parent. In the Derech HaMitbach system an administrator defines logical conditions, for example locking "transport" unless "after-school care" is ticked. A digital signature on a health declaration is stored together with the IP address and a timestamp, and we recommend settling the wording of declarations with a legal adviser. Because this is sensitive information about children, hosting and security should be part of the scoping. A similar camp registration flow is described in the Central Bark project, and you can start with a scoping call or estimate the cost with the calculator.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of system was built for Derech HaMitbach (Batyush)?
A full custom web application that covers the whole customer lifecycle: catalogue, an interactive registration experience and a back-office admin panel. It handles children’s camp registration, complementary services, signed health declarations and available places, replacing manual PDF forms and phone calculations.
What were the key components?
An upsell engine with logical conditions and real-time basket calculation, a dynamic multi-participant registration form, digital signatures through the Canvas API with IP and timestamp capture, automatic stock and capacity management that locks registration, and an admin panel that exports medical reports and signed forms.
