Active Cyber Defense: Why We Built Weblock & How It Changes Web Security

Weblock: Active Firewall Protection for Websites

In 2026, premium brand websites are no longer just 'showcases' – they are dynamic assets processing millions of dollars in transactions, processing credit card payments, and storing sensitive personal data. Accordingly, hackers have also evolved. Cyber attacks are no longer the domain of lone hackers, but a sophisticated industry powered by scanning bots and AI networks.

We saw how conventional security systems – cheap WordPress plugins or basic hosting firewalls – simply collapsed under Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) or code injection attacks. Existing solutions were slow, passive, and bogged down site performance. We realized that to give our clients absolute peace of mind, we had to change the approach. That's how Weblock was born.

What is Weblock and why isn't it 'just another security plugin'?

The system we developed, Weblock, is an active Web Application Firewall (WAF) and proactive 24/7 monitoring system that sits as a protective shield before traffic even reaches your site's server. Unlike plugins that operate within the site itself and consume valuable resources, Weblock analyzes traffic in advance in the cloud.

The Capabilities Putting Weblock at the Forefront of Technology:

  • DDoS Attack Mitigation: Our global server network absorbs massive amounts of malicious traffic and blocks it at the edge of the network, while legitimate clients continue to browse the site without any interruption or slowdown.
  • Proactive Protection Against Code Injections (XSS, SQLi): The system identifies bot behavior patterns and brute-force intrusion attempts in real time, locking out the hacker before they can damage the database.
  • 24/7 Uptime Monitoring: We don't wait for the client to call and say 'the site is down'. Weblock scans site availability every minute. If there is a performance anomaly, our DevOps team receives an immediate alert and resolves the issue.
"Cyber security in 2026 is not about responding to a breach, it's about absolute prevention. Weblock is the invisible bulletproof vest for your digital asset."

Zero Performance Impact – Maximum Protection

One of the biggest problems with traditional security systems is the negative impact on site loading speed. When you build a High-End corporate site or an advanced Headless Commerce platform, you cannot afford for the security system to delay the user experience. Because Weblock is based on smart DNS routing and cloud filtering, it doesn't burden the destination server – and in fact, improves overall performance by proactively blocking junk traffic.

Protection as Part of a Complete Package

For us at Logicode, security is not a 'paid add-on' – it is a basic standard for every system and site we develop and host. Every client on our premium servers automatically enjoys Weblock's comprehensive protection. There is no need for complex installations or coding knowledge – deployment is done at the DNS level and takes just a few minutes.

Don't leave your clients' data and your brand's reputation exposed. In an era where a single cyber attack can cost dearly, the Weblock system ensures your site remains an impenetrable technological fortress.

How does Weblock work in practice? The path from visitor to server

DNS is the system that translates a website address into the address of the server. When a site is connected to Weblock, a change at the DNS level makes traffic pass first through the cloud filtering layer and only then reach the site’s server.

In this layer, bot patterns, brute-force attempts and injections such as XSS and SQLi are identified. Real visitors continue as usual, and malicious traffic is blocked before it loads the database. Because the filtering does not run inside the site, it does not take resources from it, which is why Weblock belongs to the hosting and website security layer at Logicode.

  • Connection at the DNS level, with no new code in the site.
  • Cloud traffic analysis before it reaches the server.
  • An availability check every minute and an alert to the DevOps team on any anomaly.

A cloud firewall versus an on-site security plugin: what are the differences?

A security plugin runs on the same server and in the same code as the site. That means a malicious request has already reached the server and consumed its resources before being blocked. A cloud firewall works in front of the server, so part of the load never reaches it at all.

This difference matters especially for complex sites, such as stores and headless commerce platforms, where performance is part of the experience. Perimeter protection does not replace secure code, and the two complement each other, as explained in the guide to protecting a business website.

  • Location: a plugin inside the site, versus a firewall in front of the server.
  • Resources: a plugin uses the site’s resources, cloud filtering does not.
  • Setup: a plugin needs installation, while a DNS connection involves minimal intervention.

Which questions should you ask any website protection provider?

When choosing a protection solution, ask for concrete answers rather than slogans. The list below is suitable for comparing Weblock with any other solution, and it helps you understand exactly what you get and what remains your responsibility.

We will go through the answers for your own site in a conversation: contact Logicode. And if you are planning a new site, it is worth including security considerations already at the website development stage and in more complex systems.

Also remember what no firewall replaces: strong passwords, component updates and backups. A perimeter protection layer reduces exposure, but the owners’ and developers’ responsibility for managing permissions and code remains. That is why we see protection as part of a complete envelope and not a single solution.

  • What exactly is blocked: DDoS, code injection, bots and brute force?
  • Who monitors, how often, and who responds to an alert?
  • What is the effect on site speed?
  • What is required from you to connect, and how long does it take?

Frequently asked questions

What is Weblock?
Weblock is an active cyber protection system developed by Logicode. It combines a web application firewall (WAF) with 24/7 availability monitoring, and analyzes traffic in the cloud before it reaches the site’s server. Among other things it blocks DDoS attacks, brute-force attempts and code injection.
Do I need to install anything on my site to use Weblock?
No. The connection is made at the DNS level and takes only a few minutes, with no complex installation or knowledge of code. Because filtering happens in the cloud rather than inside the site, there is no need to add a plugin that runs on the server’s resources.
Does this kind of protection slow the site down?
Protection that runs in the cloud rather than inside the site does not load the target server. If anything, early blocking of junk traffic reduces the load on the server and can improve overall performance. The actual result depends on the site and the type of traffic it receives.

Is your website exposed to attacks?

Our cyber team will connect you to the Weblock system within minutes and give you peace of mind.
